Happy New Year's...Eve

Hi everyone!

This is my New Year's Eve look.

I was going to "sit out" the New Year's Eve look blog post. BUT! Monif C. had an amazing sale last week and my boyfriend ordered this snakeskin dress for me. I knew I wanted the dress, but really did not have any plans. The dress came Monday and I could not pass up the chance to wear it for New Year's Eve. To layer the look I wore my wine colored faux leather jacket and my side zipper booties. I added gold accessories to make the look pop.

Style Note:  This dress has a lining that helps create a smooth silhouette.

A Curvy Holiday Series: Part 3: Holiday Social Party

Hi everyone!

This is the third installment of A Curvy Holiday Lookbook series.

This look is for a Holiday Social Party. I wanted to look festive so I decided to build my look around my metallic pencil skirt. I wanted to tone the look down by wearing a black top. To layer the look I wore my favorite faux leather jacket and my faux fur vest to make it look chic. I added gold accessories to make the look pop.

Style Note:  The skirt is very thin and inexpensive. Luckily, I wore my shapewear and tights to create a nice clean look.

A Curvy Holiday Series: Part 2: Family and Friends

Hi everyone!

This is the second installment of A Curvy Holiday Lookbook series.

The second look is for a family and friends gathering. My family is very laid back and so is our attire. I have been thinking about trying the sporty chic look. I think I mastered a sporty comfy look instead. I opted for a over-sized Baseball tee and paired it with my sparkly Uggs. To layer the look I wore my favorite faux leather jacket of all time and leggings.

Style Note:  When wearing leggings I always double up to control the "movement." I usually pair my inexpensive leggings under my leggings that have move coverage.

Feeling Blue

 Hi everyone!

I spent the last two weeks feeling and looking sick, hence the title. Thank you all for visiting my blog in my time of absence. You all are great!

Now back to business. I have a new haircut and I am loving it. I figured I would mix some blues and see if the look comes out as I imagined it.

I love sweatshirts and the stripes made me fall in love. The jeans are my first pair of distressed denim and from what I've seen small holes become very large holes. I'm here for that! I added a longline blazer and statement necklace.

A Curvy Holiday Series: Part 1: Office Holiday Party

Hi everyone!

This is the first installment of A Curvy Holiday Holiday Lookbook series.

I was elastic when Pepper from PrettyPlusPep asked me to collaborate with her a few other fabulous bloggers to create a Holiday Lookbook. After receiving the initial email, I hit the ground running to create my looks.

The first look is for an Office Party. The only thing I could think of was pairing my red full midi skirt with an ugly Christmas sweater. After actually buying the Ugly Christmas Sweater Cardigan, I decided to top my look off with a Christmas Star headband. At my job everyone takes the holidays very serious and this outfit will definitely make an appearance at our Holiday Office Party.

Plaid On Stripes

Hi everyone!

This is the last installment of the November series "Mad For Plaid."

I have a serous love for stripes and plaid (tartan). I am still new to print mixing, so to mix the stripes and plaid did not register right away. I decided to pair the stripe shirt with my full laser cut skirt. To top off the look I added a coat that I swooned over for a long time. When the coat was restocked I jumped at the chance to finally own it! The look turned out great.

Graphic Plaid

Hi everyone!

This is the third installment of the November series "Mad For Plaid."

I love to pair skirts with graphic tees, it is the ultimate casual outfit. The plaid skirt is a great addition to my blog wardrobe as well as my work wardrobe.

The skirt has great stretch and the graphic tee added a little edge. I added layers by wearing one of my favorite faux leather jackets and black tights.

Flat Out Sexy

Hi everyone!

This is the second installment of the November series "Mad For Plaid."

It was exciting to try a peplum hem dress. Oddly, I wanted to wear the dress with flats. The dress is very figure flattering and being courageous to wear flat shoes with such a sexy dress made me feel more confident.

The dress is from straight sizes and has great stretch. I added my mustard pea coat and my sister's skinny belt complete the look.

Wheat Denim

Hi everyone!

This is the second installment of the November series "Mad For Plaid."

With this look I wanted to combine three trends that are here for the fall. Over-sized denim shirts, are great for added a causal aspect to any outfit and depending on the temperature the over-sized denim shirt can act as a light weight jacket. Plaid is the second trend for the season, and will remain for the Winter. Plaid can easily be dressed up or down while remaining trendy. Wheat colored boots are all the rage for the Fall. I opted for a less industrial type of boot, mainly because the thick wedge adds a feminine touch to a masculine shoe.

Pretty Peplum In Plaid

Hi everyone!

This is the first installment of the November series "Mad For Plaid."

I have been building my professional wardrobe, while trying to stay on trend, and having a dual wardrobe for work and play. I decided to pair the plaid peplum top with my favorite midi skirt that, everything goes with skirt. The booties were a nice touch with the gold accent heel. Finishing the look is another favorite, my faux leather jacket.

Style Note:  The top is more of a cream base than white and has padding.

From Summer 2 Fall: Neon

Hi everyone!

This is the fourth and final installment of the October series "From Summer 2 Fall."

I chose to wear a neon dress that was sent to me from FD AVENUE, because neon was everyone's go to pop of color for the Summer. I requested a UK 20-22, which is a US 16-18, in this dress and it is true to size. The neon orange color is very vibrant and really made me miss Summer. The dress is knee length and featured a split up the back, I actually altered the dress closing the split. Thanks to my seamstress, Alterations Queen. The dress fabric is of good quality and not too stretchy.

To transition the outfit to Fall. I added my Aztec Waterfall Cardigan to help tone down the neon while creating layers of texture with my faux fur vest. Completing the outfit are my $10 booties and amazing statement necklace.

From Summer 2 Fall: Harem Pants

Hi everyone!

This is the third installment of the October series "From Summer 2 Fall."

I love my harem pants! Harem are the most comfortable, carefree pants I own. They are very versatile and be dressed up or down. With this look I wanted to mix prints and casually dress them up with heels.

To transition the harem to Fall I added a graphic tee, booties, and a fabulous corded jacket. To complete the look I added my black wedge booties.

The StoriesByKO jacket is wonderful. The fit is true to size and the zipper details add something extra.

Fab Finds: Faux For Fur

Hi everyone!

I am starting an ongoing series, Fab Finds, that will allow me to openly answer emailed questions.

Faux Fur! Where is it? I was actually searching the internet for faux fur to help accentuate basic outfits. Little did I know I should have started this journey a year ago! There is a decent selection, but you want to be mindful of the quality.

I currently only have one faux fur vest from over a year ago and it is no longer available. Listed below are links to options from XL-3X. Good luck!

From Summer 2 Fall: The Kimono

Hi everyone!

This is the second installment of the October series "From Summer 2 Fall."

Kimonos were a Summer favorite. I saw women wear them with shorts, swimsuits, and distressed denim. Do not put them in storage, lets transition them!

To transition my kimono to Fall I immediately knew I could dress it down with comfy leggings, because of the full backside coverage. I wanted to ease my spiked military boots into the look completing it with a statement necklace.

Fab Finds: Jump Start!

Hi everyone!

I am starting an ongoing series, Fab Finds, that will allow me to openly answer emailed questions.

I have gotten a lot of questions about the jumpsuits that I wear. Unfortunately I always buy things and by the time I reveal them to my blog the items are sold out.

I'm giving you all a sneak peek into items I'm considering. Yes, that way we can all look fabulous in our jumpsuits now or later.

Please note the options listed below have not been purchased, feel free to contact me if you need additional information on sizing based on fabric content.
