Fitness Goal Mondays 02/27/17

Hey curvies!!!

I am super excited to bring you all a successful Fitness Goal Monday!!!! Yes, you guys I actually worked out 4 times last  week. Yasssssss!!!!! My sleeping schedule has improved tremendously. My average sleeping hours were 7 hours and 15 minutes. I am so thankful I found my Fitbit Flex 2. It has been reminding me to get up and move my body, while keeping up with my sleep schedule.

I can totally get use to surprising myself by pushing forward. Noticing my issues and trying to correct them are the main reason I was successful last week. So I will continue to push forward.

I have my Amazon Store linked here. There's also a tab on the desktop version of my blog.

I also started a new Instagram page @curvaceouslybee_fitness and I plan to share a lot more of fitness journey with you all.

This week my goals are to continue to get more sleep and workout at least 4 times this week. Have a great week!

The Perfect Plus Size Midi Dress

Hey curvies!!!

Spring is literally knocking at the door and ready to come in. Today it was over 70 degrees and I took this time to style my new midi dress. When buying clothes I think about the places and the season at hand. Dresses are the easiest pieces to transition because it's all about layering or removing layers.

This dress is the perfect plus size midi dress, because of the cotton fabric. This fabric is soft to the touch. I love the fact that it is not stretchy or see-through and has an elastic panel in the back for a comfortable wear. There is also a double layer that allows the dress to move with ease without rising in the back. This dress is appropriate for today while it’s over 70 degrees and later when the weather changes drastically to around 50 degrees.

Today I added a simple yet stylish denim jacket and a pair of lace-up sandals. Now, when the temperature drops (it is super unstable here) I will add booties, tights, and a cardigan.

Style Notes: This dress is true to size and I wish I would have ordered my usually 16, instead of an 18. My denim jacket is true to size in a 16. The lace-up sandals are true to size as well in a 10.

4 Ways to Style Red While Plus size: The Cardigan

Hey curvies!!!

I remember being hesitant to wear red. I was felt like it wasn’t “my” color and that I would just stick out more. I loved red as color, because it always added the perfect pop color when decorating. But not so much on my skin. Luckily, I learned a few years ago that Red is definitely my color and I have been fortunate enough to have a red series yearly. In 2015 my red series was titled “Shades of Red,” where a featured a banging jumpsuit, faux fur and plaid, and some wide legged pants. In 2016 I was fortunate enough to collab with Kareem of Big Bella Donna to bring you all the “Colors of Love” series where I featured a lace full skirt, a wine colored cardigan, a red peplum dress, and a lace bodycon.

It’s clear to say that my February’s are made for red! This month I will be sharing four of my favorite red items at the moment. Whether you are going on a date with bae or dinner with the girls these outfits will give you a little inspiration on how to rock those last Winter pieces before the weather break.

Second up is this super cute draped front cardigan. Now I'm all for transitioning pieces, but this Cardigan is thick. I cannot bring this cardigan into Spring, because it keeps me warm like a jacket/coat. I wanted a more casual feel so I went for a skinny jeans and striped tee look. This is also a good causal Friday work outfit. I completed this look with my
knee high boots, because I had to get a good wear in.

StyleNotes:I sized up in this cardigan to a 3x. I wanted an oversized look. My jeans are true to size with great stretch. My top is an XXL to create a relaxed fit.

Fitness Goal Mondays 02/20/17

Hey curvies!!!

Today I am bringing you all another fitness goal Monday. My goal was to workout at least 4 times  last week and I actually only worked out 2 times. My sleeping schedule is still up in the air but hopefully it gets better this week. Sometimes I am reluctant to discuss times where I didn't hit my goal, but I want to be the person that doesn't give up. Over the years I give up and then complain about my consistency. Then start back in hopes of not stopping again. Well this time I am not stopping no matter the circumstances. This week's update will continue to push me to do more. Super happy I worked out this morning!!!

I have my Amazon Store linked here. There's also a tab on the desktop version of my blog.

I also started a new Instagram page @curvaceouslybee_fitness and I plan to share a lot more of fitness journey with you all.

Fitness Goal Mondays 02/13/17

 Hey curvies!!!

Today I am bringing you all another fitness goal Monday. My goal was to workout at least 4 times and I actually only did 3 times. Last week my sleeping schedule was disturbed. I am excited to share my journey with you all because ups and downs are real. This week's update is pushing me to do more.

I wanted to share this new sauna vest I have been working out in with you all. I saw Chard of Plus Size Beausion wearing one and I ran to Amazon. I love it and it doesn't roll up at all and it covers that area under the arm. I have my Amazon Store linked here. There's also a tab on the desktop version of my blog.

Pantone Color of the Year 2017: Greenery

Hi curvies!!!

Pantone is always giving us great colors of the year. In 2015 the Color of the Year was Marsala and when the spring color report debuted I dedicated an entire series to Strawberry Ice
Last year there were two Colors of the Year Rose Quartz and Serenity. I was able to create another series, but last year featuring more colors like Rose Quartz, Iced Coffee, and Limpet Shell here

This year will be no different as I am featuring Pantone's Color of the Year Greenery. Pantone stated “Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.” Pantone also described greenery as a symbol of 'new beginning.' It felt really good to style this outfit simply because I am usually behind when Pantone does these types of things.

I have been learning so much about myself lately and I felt like Greenery was perfect for me. I felt like this year was the start of a new beginning for myself and my blog. I have become a little more transparent about my fitness goals and my top 3 goals for 2017

Back to this outfit! I have a thing for olive green as seen here and here. I cannot hide my love for olive green so I had to style this high-low flounce top. I know plus size women do not like to size up in clothing for fear of looking frumpy but I needed this top to flow and it did just that. My skinny jeans were a must for this look and I had to add my neutral fringe bag (similar). This outfit was super easy to complete I wanted to pair my conga booties to add a little something extra.

Style Notes: I sized up with top to a 3x. My jeans are true to size with amazing stretch. I sized in with my booties to an 11 because of my wide feet, but I could have ordered my true size 10.

4 Ways to Style Red In Plus size: The Booties

Hey curvies!!!

I remember being hesitant to wear red. I was felt like it wasn’t “my” color and that I would just stick out more. I loved red as color, because it always added the perfect pop color when decorating. But not so much on my skin. Luckily, I learned a few years ago that Red is definitely my color and I have been fortunate enough to have a red series yearly.

First up are these booties. Now I was a little hesitant about these red booties because they looked super bright online and I knew I was going to need a size 10. I cannot lie when I pulled the booties out of the box I was so relieved and they are super cute on my feet. They are wide width so they are comfy on my ankle, which is an extra plus. Now let’s talk about this maxi dress. I am in love from the print all the way down to the rounded neck. It zips up the back, but since I sized up I simple throw it over my head, don’t judge me. I added my favorite denim jacket to complete this look.

Style Notes: These booties are wide feet approved, I am wearing my normal size 10. I sized up to an 18 in my maxi dress.  My denim jacket is a size 16.

How to Wear Black: Stripes

Hey curvies!!!

I am happy to end my new series, "How to Wear Black" with stripes!!! I have enjoyed wearing all black and hopefully my four different outfits have inspired you.

My love for stripes and mixing them with other prints go hand in hand. This outfit is dreamy for two reasons the colors are amazing and I winterized this outfit I bought last Summer. The top is sleevelss and sexy and the skirt is the perfect midi length. When I purchased these items from the Eva Mendes Collection I did not know what to expect but the quality is amazing. I will talk about the fit more in the Style Notes. This outfit is sold out but I listed a lot of similar skirts and tops in the Outfit Details below.

Style Notes: The skirt and shirt are not "plus size" they are misses, cut smaller. I am wearing a size 20 in the skirt and XXL in the shirt. My cardigan is 3x, I sized up. My booties are an 11 and I sized up.
