Combat Boots With Boyfriend Jeans Or A Dress

Hello everyone!

This is the second look for Kareem of Big Bella Donna and I's collaboration for the ENTIRE month of February, "Colors of Love."

It's so weird showing up to a date with the wrong outfit. Or wearing high heels on a date that requires you to walk through a park. By the end of the night you're walking funny and got a bad attitude. Trust me, I know! But I have a simple solution. Wear low heels or really cute combat boots. If you are thinking I'm crazy, just know I'm not. Wearing low heels are not the end of the world and rest assure you'll be walking cute all night.

I decided to give you all two looks that are combat boots approved. I literally didn't want to change much about the looks other than one has jeans and the other is a dress. I also wanted to show you all how to stretch your wardrobe, because buying an outfit all of the time gets really expensive.

Style Notes: The jacket is true to size and I should have requested a 2x, but I am wearing a 3x. The dress has really great stretch and I am wearing a 2x. The necklace is super cute and super short I had to add a chain extender.

Lace In The Nine Oh One

Hello everyone!

It is definitely a pleasure to be collaborating with Kareem of Big Bella Donna for the ENTIRE month of February to bring you all the "Colors of Love" series. Kareem's style is so classic and I am sure you all will enjoy this collaboration. We want to give you all outfit inspirations for Valentine's Day and other social outings.

Let's talk about this skirt! I have no idea when I bought it but I am glad I still have it. Women love lace, well at least I do! Lace to me is the most romantic fabric to wear and the fact that this is midi skirt makes me happy. The skirt is so vibrant, yet I wanted to tone it down. I simply added my favorite faux leather jacket (it's like three years old) and low heels just in case your sweetheart sends you on a wild goose chase, I mean scavenger hunt.

This shirt is literally my new favorite shirt! Seriously! I am from Memphis and I graduated from The University of Memphis, so I have a ton of shirts with MEMPHIS written boldly across the chest. So when I found this shirt I had to buy it! I get to represent while being cute.

Style Notes: This skirt is true to size and I am wearing a size 16. This jacket is also true to size in a 1x. This shirt is in a size XL.

SaturDay & Night featuring Avenue

Hello everyone!!!

I am excited to bring you all another Avenue collaboration! I must say on Saturdays I literally get more done than on any other day of the week. During the day I try to wear something fashionable and comfortable and at night I like to dress up and throw on some heels.

These outfits came together perfectly. The poncho and leggings are extremely comfortable. The leggings are made from a heavy ponte material with a zipper detail at the bottom. The dress is made out of crepe material and the print is very vibrant, so I decided to pair it with a cobalt blue blazer coat.

Style Notes: The poncho is true to size and I am wearing a 2x (18/20). In the leggings I am wearing a 3x (22/24) and they are true to size. The dress is very comfortable and I am wearing a 2x (18/20), but could have sized down to a 1x (14/16).

Curvaceously Bee Turns Two featuring Pink Clubwear

Hi, everyone!

January 9th marks my two-year blogiversary!

As I stated last year, when I decided to start my blog, I quickly became both eager and nausea. I have always loved my curves and never struggled with self-acceptance. I did, however, struggle with not knowing if the plus size community needed "another" blogger. I did not get teased as a child about my weight, so I did not have a sad story to tell. I have always embraced my fuller curvy figure. But I remembered that I started this blog to provide representation for bottom heavy women, like myself. I want to help bottom heavy women enjoy shopping online. I hope I am helping with that!

I can honestly say that last year, because of all of the themes, collaborations, and reviews that ended up being amazing! I am excited to be celebrating my two-year blogiversary, and I look forward to many more! My goals for 2016 are to try more silhouettes and repeat items from my very own closet. Oh and add sizing to my "Style Notes," just to help out as much as possible.

Style Notes: This dress is very sexy, and luckily the lace-up feature is not too low. Pink Clubwear offers cute items in juniors. I requested a 3x in the dress and jacket. The dress fits perfectly, and the jacket is true to size, and I could have requested a 2x.

Holiday Lookbook: Part 2: MORE SEQUINS PLEASE

Hello everyone!!!

For this post I have teamed up with the fabulous Pepper of Pretty Plus PepJeniese of The Jenesaisquoi, and Georgette of Grown and Curvy Woman to bring you all some New Year's Eve sequin inspiration!

Let's just be honest, what's a holiday lookbook without SPARKLE?! These outfits were exciting for me because I wanted to give you all a dressy version and casual look. This blazer was a must have for me, but after I bought it I thought "how am I going to rock this twice?" Sometimes we get so caught up in clothing that we simply fail to relay items to our actual lives. Not my sequin blazer!!!

These outfits were just what I needed! I decided to pair my sequin blazer with a faux leather skirt for a holiday office look and pair it again with my new favorite boyfriend jeans for a casual Saturday date night look.

Holiday Lookbook featuring SWAK Designs: Part 1

Hello everyone!!!

I am excited to bring you all a holiday lookbook featuring two looks from SWAK Designs and one look on the way!

I was excited that SWAK Designs reached out to me to style a couple of new arrivals! SWAK Designs "offers contemporary plus size fashion for women in sizes 14 - 36. From maxi dresses and leggings, to cardigans and camisoles," SWAK Designs believes that there clothing is "the perfect blend of trend and classic design." Then I immediately remembered how fun it was to create holiday inspired looks last year and decided to create a lookbook this year.

I could not wait to get my hands on the Joyce Dress because of the bold navy and white stripes. This dress could easily be dressed up or down and I decided to style it for a casual family gathering look. This dress has bold stripes and I knew that a plaid shirt would go perfect with it as well as some low heel laceup booties. I think it turned out well!

Review: The fabric is lightweight and the length is fine, but a little short in the back thankfully I am wearing tights. I am wearing a size 1x.

Style Note: When shopping with SWAK Designs be sure to shop by your waist measurement. There clothes are very generous in the hips.

Next up is this amazing Eternity Convertible Multi Print Maxi Dress. I quickly grew fond of the effortless possibilities that one item could create after I first featured an Eternity dress during my "Maxi Love" series from August. This dress is a head turner and the fact that it is in this seasonable brown print is perfect. This look was created for a Friend's Social Event. I wanted to focus on the dress and added a wine colored cardigan and booties to complete the look. I would like to add that I learned how to tie this dress with a video, yes a video, it was extremely helpful especially since my boyfriend assisted in the tying.

Review: This fabric is heavy. Heavy like I had to use a wooden hanger to hold it. I really love the versatility of this dress as I did the first time I tried an eternity style dress from SWAK Designs. The color is vibrant and perfect for the fall and winter.

Style Note: I am wearing a size 1x-3x as this dress comes in only two sizes 1x-3x and 4x-6x. Also, I am wearing a convertible bra with this dress, link below.

Tulle & Plaid

Hello everyone!!!

This is the final look Pepper of Pretty Plus Pep and I's collaboration for the ENTIRE month of November,
"Bee and Pep Does Plaid."

I bought this tulle skirt right after my last tulle post, because I loved it! Initially I was going to pair my tulle skirt with a plaid shirt, but then I found this awesome jacket. I fell in love with this jacket from the moment I laid eyes on it. I knew I had to have it regardless of the outfit. I completed this look with my favorite low booties, statement necklace, and custom bracelets.

Style Notes: I had to size up with this jacket because the lining is weird and ended up ordering a size 2. I sized up in this tulle skirt and caused that skirt to have gaps in the waist. Please order your true size. These bracelets are amazing! I literally sent her my outfit and she created these bracelets in no time! I really love them!!!

Graphic Tees and Plaid Skirts

Hello everyone!!!

This is the third look Pepper of Pretty Plus Pep and I's collaboration for the ENTIRE month of November,"Bee and Pep Does Plaid."

I was super excited for Pepper when she released her own graphic tee line. The shirts are so cute and girly! When I ordered my shirt I knew I had to incorporate it somehow into an outfit and what better way to rock a graphic tee than with a plaid skirt! The were made for each other and my outfit looks casual yet cute! This look is super easy to pull off all you need is a graphic tee and any skirt. To complete the look I simply added my denim jacket, a necklace, black booties, and my glasses of course! I wear glasses on a day to day basis and they were the perfect accessory to complete this look.

Style Note: I ordered an XL in the graphic tee, because I knew I would wear this shirt with skirts, but will definitely order an XXL to wear with jeans. The skirt is also true size, for some reason I thought that material would fit differently than other Eloquii skirts and sized. up Sizing up only created a gap in the waist. This skirt is short in the back.

Outerwear Must Haves featuring Avenue

Hello everyone!!!

I love outerwear that completes an outfit. Being able to buy your date night outerwear and your casual outwear is always a plus! So this post is a two for one!

Avenue, "has been a leader in the fashion industry for plus size clothing. From its inception as Sizes Unlimited in 1983, Avenue has maintained a commitment to its customers to offer quality plus sized clothing in sizes 14-32." I was extremely excited when Avenue contacted me and sent over two pieces to style.

I chose to do a date night look and a casual look. For the date night look I decided to pair the Faux Chinchilla Jacket with a sleek black dress and laceup sandals. With the casual look I wanted to pair the Reversible Faux Vest with boyfriend jeans and a turtleneck (I have been obsessing over turtlenecks lately).

Style Notes: The Faux Chinchilla Jacket is true to size and has a lining in it. It's lightweight and soft. The Reversible Faux Vest is super comfy with pockets and is true to size.
